Topology in Magnetism: Theory Meets Experiments 2019

October 22-24, La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina

The main goal of the workshop is to bring together leading experts in the field of magnetism and topology to discuss recent developments and future perspectives in the research fields. We aim to develop interdisciplinary communication and collaborations among internationally recognized experts and the local community. An important aspect of the workshop is to boost the participation of young researchers from the region.

Participants are invited to provide overview and/or more specialised talks, supplying theoretical guidelines for the discovery of new topologically nontrivial magnetic structures. Another focus will be on synthesis of new materials, their experimental characterisation (including bulk measurements, neutron scattering, etc) and the evolution from bulk samples towards thin films and multilayer structures, aiming at spintronics applications.
