CLAF Symposium on Opportunities for Latin-American Cooperation in High Energy Physics with CERN, 14 November 2025, CBPF, Rio de Janeiro
As Director of the Latin-American Center for Physics (CLAF), it is an honor to invite you to attend the “CLAF Symposium on Opportunities for Latin-American Cooperation in High Energy Physics with CERN”.
In recognition of the historical moment that Latin-American HEP research is going through, with the recent associations of Brazil and Chile to CERN, we would be delighted to count with your presence in this event, which aims to engaje the Latin-American community and further consolidate the region’s research activities and collaboration in high energy physics.
The Symposium will count with the presence of representatives of the Brazilian and Chilean communities working in HEP research with CERN, and will be joined by representatives of the government and of the principal institutions engaged with HEP research in both countries. A broader Latin-American perspective on HEP research will also be presented, and some of the synergies between Latin-America and Europe will also be explored.
Among the expected outcomes of the Symposium is the proposal for the creation of a Latin-American Cooperation Group for HEP research with CERN, to be convened by CLAF with the support of CERN and of the CLAF Member States.
In-person attendance is preferred to favour discussions and exchanges, and we kindly request your confirmation of attendance by 31.10.2025.
