XVI Reunión Anual de la AACr – SEGUNDA CIRCULAR

¡IMPORTANTE! PRÓRROGA PARA EL ENVÍO DE RESÚMENES: 15 de octubre de 2021

El Comité Organizador junto con la Comisión Directiva de la Asociación Argentina de Cristalografía (AACr) han decidido prorrogar la fecha de finalización de recepción de resúmenes hasta el día 15 de octubre de 2021.

Como se informó previamente, la XVI Reunión Anual de la AACr (XVI AACr) y sus dos eventos satélites, IX Taller: Radiación de Luz Sincrotrón y XII Escuela: Determinación de la Estructura Cristalográfica de Proteínas: Estado del Arte en Argentina, tendrán como sede la Facultad de Bioquímica y Ciencias Biológicas (FBCB) de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), cita en la ciudad de Santa Fe, Argentina.

Las fechas previstas para la realización de todos los eventos van desde el 16 al 26 de noviembre del corriente año y se llevarán a cabo en modalidad virtual, contemplando algunas actividades presenciales si las condiciones sanitarias vigentes lo permiten. 1er Encuentro Nacional sobre Litio (2021) – PRIMERA CIRCULAR

El Foro Interuniversitario de Especialistas en Litio del Consejo Interuniversitario Nacional, organiza el 1er Encuentro Nacional sobre Litio: hacia una política para el desarrollo integral dirigido a docentes-investigadores, estudiantes, organizaciones sociales y ambientales, empresas, representantes del Estado y público en general de todo el país, con el propósito de generar un ámbito de debate integral en torno al litio, ambiente y sociedad, las tecnologías, el marco normativo, aspectos económicos entre otras aristas.

Organiza: Consejo Interuniversitario Nacional y Foro de Especialistas en Litio de la Argentina.

Joint ICTP, SAIFR and UNESP School on Systems-on-Chip, Embedded Microcontrollers and their Applications in Research and Industry

Systems-on-Chip (SoC) are embedded microcontrollers. The aim is to provide appropriate methodological practices and key know-how to effectively take advantage of this technology for applications in research and industry.
Modern SoC are extremely exible and performant devices, being able to run traditional software in their powerful microprocessors and make use of the high-performance logic of their FPGA fabric. The characteristic versatility of this technology is a key aspect in allowing the implementation of advanced instruments, and is often essential for applications that require parallel data acquisition, real-time processing and high-speed data transmission.

Microcontrollers are widely used in different areas such as consumer electronics, and industrial and scientific applications. They integrate energy-efficient processing cores with application-specific peripherals in a compact device. They are used for control in many scientific instruments, and for low-to mid-performance data acquisition up to the operation of complete instruments in simpler applications.Participants will be familiarized with professional software design tools and hardware platforms through theoretical lectures, demonstrations, tutorials and practical exercises, and will apply the acquired knowledge in projects. In addition, they will be introduced to an open-source SoC-FPGA firmware platform, providing a well-tested interface with the control computer.

School on Critical Stability of Few-Body Quantum Systems

The lectures in the school will introduce basic few-body techniques understandable for advanced master’s students.

Workshop on Sociophysics: Social Phenomena from a Physics Perspective

The application of techniques of statistical (and other areas of) physics to understand the dynamics of social systems is currently one of the hottest topics in the study of complex systems. The so-called Sociophysics has attracted the attention of a large number of scientists from areas such as physics, computer science, and mathematics, as well as the humanities.

This meeting will bring together physicists and other scientists from all over the world to focus on open issues in social modelling and to identify the new directions in which this interdisciplinary field is evolving.
