Premio Giambiagi a la mejor tesis de doctorado en Física Experimental – CONVOCATORIA 2022

La Asociación Física Argentina anuncia que se encuentra abierta la convocatoria al Premio J. J. Giambiagi destinado a reconocer una labor sobresaliente en la realización y aprobación, en el país, de una tesis doctoral en física. De acuerdo al reglamento aprobado oportunamente, corresponde asignarlo este año a una tesis doctoral en física experimental aprobada durante los años calendario 2020 y 2021.

Hermann Kümmel Early Achievement Award

We are pleased to invite candidates for the Hermann Kümmel Early Achievement Award. The purpose of the Hermann Kümmel Early Achievement Award in Many-Body Physics is to encourage and reward excellence in the field of Quantum Many-Body Theory. The awardee will be selected on the basis of outstanding published work that has been recognized as comprising a significant advance in the field. Each candidate for the award must normally have received his or her PhD within a period of 6 years prior to the closing date for nominations.

Complete nominations should be submitted by 15th April, 2022. 2022 Early Career Scientist Prize in Computational Physics – Call for Nominations

The Commission on Computational Physics (C20) of IUPAP seeks nominations for its 2022 Early Career Scientist Prize in Computational Physics.

Nominees should have a maximum of 8 years of research experience following their PhD (as measured on January 1, 2022) and should be the principal performers of original work of outstanding scientific quality in Computational Physics. Distinguidos con el Premio Juan José Giambiagi 2021

El Jurado que evaluó los postulantes para el Premio Giambiagi 2021, integrado por la Dra. Victoria Ferreyra, la Dra. Verónica Vildosola, el Dr. Sebastián Otranto y el Dr. Dante Chialvo y coordinado por la Dra. Fabiana Laguna, dió a conocer su dictámen.

En primer lugar, el Jurado destaca la excelencia de los 9 (nueve) trabajos de Tesis de Doctorado presentados. 2022 Young Scientist Prizes

The Commission on Low Temperature Physics (C5) of IUPAP solicits nominations of outstanding young experimental or theoretical physicists for 2022 Young Scientist Prizes. The prizes, each consisting of an IUPAP medal, certificate, and a cash award (~ 1000 Euros), and each winner will give an invited presentation at the 29th International Conference on Low Temperature Physics (LT29), Sapporo, Japan, August 18-24, 2022. Candidates for the prize should have received their PhD within 8 years from the deadline for submission of nominations.
